Due to the lack of employment opportunities and the desire to be self-reliant, more youth are turning towards self-employment. The ambition of becoming job providers rather than job seekers is increasing. However, this path is filled with challenges such as lack of capital, inadequate experience, lack of technical skills, poor market awareness, and absence of proper guidance. Governments and social institutions must collaborate to address these challenges. Recently, self-employment has become an attractive option for the youth. The shortage of traditional job opportunities, desire for independence, and enthusiasm to realize one’s ideas are pushing youth towards entrepreneurship. The government is also promoting self-employment through various schemes. In today's era of rapidly changing technology and economy, the number of educated youth is increasing, but job opportunities are not keeping pace. As a result, many youth are opting for self-employment. They seek to realize their dreams, live independently, and start their own ventures. However, the road is not easy. Financial, technical, and social obstacles stand in their way. These are not just personal difficulties but issues that affect the nation’s development as well. Thus, it is crucial to discuss them. The quote "Every big business starts with a small dream" is true. Today’s youth have dreams, but they must overcome many challenges to realize them. Self-employment is emerging as a ray of hope to tackle India’s growing unemployment problem. India’s population has been increasing over decades, and providing employment is the government's responsibility. Hence, through various initiatives, the government must provide job opportunities and encourage self-employment.
