Abstract

The challenge of managing work and family roles in a manner that promotes positive outcomes in their job and personal life has become a pressing concern for many employees. Maintaining a healthy work-family balance is a multi-faceted endeavour since it encompasses a complex interplay of financial considerations, gender dynamics, career trajectories, and time allocation. Achieving a satisfying experience across all life domains requires personal resources, such as energy, time, and commitment, to be well distributed across these domains. To address the challenge of work-family balance, individuals and organizations have developed a range of coping mechanisms and strategies. Coping techniques or strategies used to cope with the pressures from work and family domain plays a vital role in achieving balance in these two domains. Employees may actively engage in boundary management techniques, such as establishing clear boundaries between work and personal time, setting communication parameters, and prioritising self-care activities, to mitigate the potential for conflict and stress. Organizations, in turn, can play a critical role in supporting work-family balance by implementing policies and programs that acknowledge the needs of their workforce.
