Abstract
In the history of Bengali literature, Satinath Bhaduri is a notable name. Not only he was born in Bihar, but also, he completed his education there and lived his entire life closely connected to the socio-cultural life of Bihar. Despite being born into a privileged family, he did not confine himself to educated Bengali or elite Bihari circles. During his early ages, he mingled with underprivileged Bihari students, engaging closely with them. Later, he became familiar with Bihari landlords and peasant communities as a lawyer. Eventually, he became deeply involved in politics, touring villages in Purnia district, becoming familiar with their poverty, and became a relative to them, their beloved 'Bhaduriji'. Therefore, naturally, when creating literature, the familier world and its inhabitants crowded in his mind. He skillfully propounded their daily life struggle, their mentality, and their battle. In this essay we have tried to reveal the struggle of the peasants by discussing the novels of Satinath Bhaduri.
