Abstract
Automated Teller Machine(ATM) allow people to do online transaction, check their balance and withdraw cash without ever visiting a bank The increasing number of ATM’s made the cash withdrawal easy for the people. The traditional way of ATM transaction takes place when both the card and PIN matches. When a fraudster manipulates the PIN or card, it has a major impact on ATM security. There is a need to provide a means of securing ATM transaction against frauds and criminal activities taking place. So this system proposes to add advanced security to ATM. Our system is divided into four layers of security consisting of card verification,face recognition, OTP generation,PIN verification. In the first stage the card verification takes place where the card is verified with the existing data. The second step is face recognition, which uses the ATM’s webcam to take a picture of the owners or close relatives and compares it to the real image stored in the database. The user is required to input the OTP generated to the customers email address in the third step. The fourth step is PIN verification, requiring the user to input the four-digit PIN they have chosen. The next step is taken if the PIN is correct. Final stage is where the transaction takes place, the user can enter the amount and withdraw cash.
