Abstract
Abstract Women's socioeconomic standing is evolving. Women investors have grown in number as the proportion of working women has increased. As they feel more accountable for home expenses and savings, their financial impact is growing. In order to plan their spending and saving for specific goals, women. As a result, this study investigates how women investors behave while making investments in various financial instruments and their preference of investment options with regard to risk and return while doing their financial planning. This study was conducted on a sample population by collecting primary data using a questionnaire. The study was confined to Ernakulam city. Sample size of 50 respondents were contacted for the study. The secondary data were collected from published journals, magazines, books and website connected with the study. The study observed that there is significant association of factors like age group and marital status for investment. The study includes the suggestion to modify the attitude towards investment.
