This research paper explores the challenges and opportunities for professional development of teachers under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in India. Overall, this research paper highlights the critical role of teachers in the implementation of the NEP 2020 and the need for continuous professional development to ensure the success of the policy. The paper provides useful insights for policymakers, educators, and researchers who are interested in enhancing teacher professional development in the context of the NEP 2020. By addressing the challenges and leveraging the opportunities for professional development, the education system can achieve the goals of the NEP 2020 and provide quality education for all.
