ABSTRACT
Heart disease is a medical condition that encompasses various problems related to the heart, such as damaged blood vessels, structural abnormalities, and blood clots. According to a report published by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), cardiovascular diseases are responsible for almost 17% of all deaths in India. On average, approximately 28,000 people in India die every year due to heart disease, which is caused by several factors including cholesterol levels, blood sugar levels, and other health issues. While we won't delve into the details of how heart attacks occur, our objective is to develop an AI-based heart disease detection system that can predict heart disease based on 14 key attributes.
To achieve this, we will use machine learning techniques and three algorithms, namely k-nearest neighbor, logistic regression, and random forest, with the help of the UCI repository dataset.
The UCI Machine Learning Repository contains numerous databases that are widely used by the machine learning community to conduct empirical analyses of various machine learning algorithms.
