ABSTRACT: The research approach adopted for this study was Quantitative research approach. Quasi experimental one group pretest post test design was used. The sample size was 30 patients with muscle cramps undergoing hemodialysis procedure. The setting of the study was the Vivekanandha Medical Care Hospital, Namakkal. Subjects were selected by using Purposive sampling technique. Modified muscle cramp scale And Numerical Pain scale were used to collect the socio demographic and the clinical variables. Descriptive statistics and Inferential statistics were used in data analysis. RESULTS: The study revealed that, during in pretest mean value was 2.4 and standard deviation was 0.714. In post test Mean value was 1.16 and standard deviation was 0.632 The statistical paired ‘t’ test implies that the calculated value of 10.8 it was noted that the p level value with the significance of 0.05 level was 2.05, it was noted that the calculated value is greater than the p level value, there was a highly significant difference between the pre-test and post test score, so there is effectiveness on intradialytic stretching exercises in reduction of muscle cramps.
