Abstract
The present study is primarily conducted to examine the substantial areas and factors that influence the library professionals to build an effective collection for its clienteles. The population of the study is strictly peripheries with the selected medical college libraries of Bihar i.e. Patna Medical College Library and Darbhanga Medical College Library. The study reveals that the print collections of all the surveyed libraries are satisfactory in comparison to electronic resource collections. The automated housekeeping operations of the libraries are in progress as the libraries are not fully automated till the present.
