Abstract
The people are quite concerned about their health in the contemporary environment since lifestyles have changed significantly as a result of longer work hours and numerous psychological stressors, which has raised the frequency of various life-threatening diseases. They are also dissatisfied with the high-tech, pricey approach to managing and treating diseases. Since a few years ago, individuals have been more interested in using nutraceuticals and phytonutrients for a variety of medicinal purposes. The health benefits of nutraceutical products include lowering the risk of cancer, heart disease, and other related conditions, as well as treating or preventing hypertension, high cholesterol, excessive blood sugar, degeneration, cataracts, menopausal symptoms, insomnia, poor memory and concentration, digestive problems, osteoporosis, arthritis, macular degeneration, and constipation. have also discovered a great deal of success in treating stress-related headaches and migraines. Other similar nutraceuticals are marketed as treatments for lethargy, depression, alcoholism, varicose veins, thinning hair, loss of confidence, poor complexion, and varicose veins. We attempted to categorise all varieties of dietary supplements with examples and their uses in this chapter. Additionally, the significance and difficulties associated with creating and developing dosage forms to provide better carriers for the delivery of nutraceuticals have been listed.
