Moringa oleifera (drumstick), family moringaceae, is an indigenous plant cultivated in the tropics as well as sub-tropic regions in India and over the world. Due to its beneficial use plants have a different names like miracle tree, horseradish tree, oil tree, and mother’s best friend. Moringa oleifera has various parts such as leaves, roots, seeds, bark, fruits, flower, and pod contain various preventive and curative compounds and it is a multipurpose plant used for the treatment of various types of diseases like bacterial infection, fungal infection, inflammation, cancer, diuretic, hypertension, tumors, diabetes, hepatic diseases, etc. and also use as a vegetable. Moringa oleifera leaves are very good for health, provide nutrients supplements for malnutrition and it is a good source of protein, vitamin, oils, fatty acids, and micro-macro minerals. There is various types of phytochemicals present in moringa oleifera such as flavonoids, Saponins, tannins, carotenoids, phenolic components, etc. The present study provides systematic and scientific information regarding the pharmacological activity of moringa oleifera.
