Abstract
सारटोरी के अनुसार “चुनाव एक आंदोलन है जब मतदाता वास्तव में शासन करते हैं।“ -Sartori, G. (1997). Demokratietheorie. Primus-Verl. विभिन्न राजनीतिक दलों और संगठनों के एजेंडों व विचारधाराओं के विषय में दर्शकों को सूचित करके किसी भी लोकतांत्रिक व्यवस्था में एक महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई जाती है। मीडिया समाज का प्रहरी होने के साथ ही राजनेताओं द्वारा राजनीतिक शक्ति के उपयोग के बारे में लोगो को सूचित करने के अलावा राजनीतिक दलों की छवि भी स्थापित करता है। फेसबुक, ट्विटर, व्हाट्सएप, यूट्यूब इन्स्टाग्राम आदि जैसी वेबसाइट्स को सोशल मीडिया की संज्ञा दी गई है व यह आधुनिक संचार प्रौद्योगिकी(ICT) के रूप में जानी जाती है। जिसके माध्यम से देश के युवा इंटरनेट मीडिया से जुड़ रहे हैं, प्रत्येक आम चुनाव और विधान सभा चुनावों में युवाओं की बढ़ती आबादी का एक बहुत बड़ा कारण सोशल मीडिया है। सूचना और प्रौद्योगिकी के युग में संचार प्रणालियों में भारी विकास सूचना समाज को लगातार ज्ञान समाज में बदल रहा है। इस परिवर्तन के प्रमुख योगदानकर्ता में मीडिया, इंटरनेट, एंड्राइड मोबाइल और एक अन्य योगदान आजकल सोशल मीडिया भी निभा रही है। मार्शल मैक्लुहान का ग्लोबल गांव (समाज) का विचार समकालीन समय में सोशल मीडिया और उपयोगकर्ता के अनुकूल एप के आने से वास्तविकता सा बनता नजर आ रहा है। इस लेख का उद्देश्य दिल्ली प्रदेश में सोशल मीडिया के द्वारा राजनीति में चुनाव प्रचार में आए विविध परिवर्तनों का परीक्षण करना है।
