Abstract
The present study attempted to study anxiety and self-concept among prospective teachers. The sample consisted of 103 (Central University of South Bihar= 47 and Central University of Haryana= 56) prospective teachers. The self-Rating Anxiety Scale (S-A-S) by Dunstan and Scott Australian version of the Zung self-rating scale (2020) and the Robson Self-Concept Questionnaire (RSCQ) by Robson (1989), used by Ghadheri in 2005 were used to collect data. Statistical techniques mean, standard deviation, and t-test technique was used for the analysis of the data, and the result showed that prospective teachers of Central University of South Bihar and Central University of Haryana differ in their anxiety levels and level of self-concept. There was also no significant difference in the anxiety level and self-concept level of prospective teachers of CUSB and CUH with respect to gender. While prospective teachers from CUSB differ significantly on the levels of self- concept with respect to locale.
