Abstract: Abstract: Vijay Tendulkar is a famous modern Indian playwright who tried to present a society in which women have been depreciated. His plays show how women are exploited, tortured and victimized. He wrote thirty plays in marathi and ten plays were translated into english. His plays demonstrate women as a victim, bounded in the chain of violence physically and emotionally. Tendulkar has focused on men’s superiority complex and show subtle, inverted and preservative relationship between men and women. The present research paper will focused on his play ‘Kamala’, to present the subservient position of women in society. In the play, Tendulkar focuses on the changing role of women in our society. It is inspired by a real incident in which a girl bought from a rural flesh market.
Keywords: Key words: Women, exploitation, violence, relationship and courage.
