Abstract: Agriculture is the primary source of income for the majority of Indians, and it has a significant impact on the country's economy. The goal of our research is to eliminate the farmer's manual involvement by implementing an automated irrigation system that maxi-mises water utilisation for agricultural crops. The idea for this project came from places where the economy is centred on agriculture and the climatic conditions are conducive to a lack of rain and water scarcity. Farmers labouring on farmland are solely reliant on rain and bore wells to keep the land irrigated. Even if the agricultural field has a water pump, farmers must use their hands to switch it on and off as needed. The goal of the project is to develop an autonomous irrigation system that turns on and off the pump motor based on the moisture level of the soil. In the world of agriculture, using the right irrigation technology is critical. The advantage of this method is that it requires less human interaction while yet ensuring proper irrigation. The threshold values of soil moisture, temperature, and water level were predetermined and encoded into an arm controller to create a software application. The regulation and monitoring of water levels as well as the detection of soil moisture content, are discussed in this work.
