Abstract: An analysis of data on angular distribution of shower tracks coming out of 32S-Ag/Br interactions at 200A GeV/c has been presented in this paper in terms of the phase-space variable gaps between neighbouring particles in a single event. The event-to-event fluctuation of multiparticle production has been investigated using moments of the gap distribution. The results suggest that such fluctuations of nonstatistical origin are present in the data.
