Abstract

MANSALOON, NAPTHALY M., Central Mindanao University, Musuan, Maramag Bukidnon, Philippines, MAY (2025). SCHOOL CULTURE AND TEACHING ENGAGEMENT ON TEACHER INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP IN LAST MILE SCHOOLS. This study explores the influence of school culture and teaching engagement on instructional leadership among teachers in last mile schools within the Division of Bukidnon, Philippines. Utilizing a quantitative research approach, the research gathered data on teachers' perceptions regarding collaborative leadership, professional development, collegial support, and instructional involvement. The findings indicate a highly positive school culture and a strong sense of teaching engagement, particularly in classroom interaction, instructional planning, and job satisfaction. Results demonstrate a strong positive relationship between instructional leadership and both school culture and teaching engagement. Professional development and collaborative leadership emerged as significant predictors of instructional leadership. These insights emphasize the importance of fostering a supportive school environment that promotes collaboration and continuous professional growth. The study underscores the critical role of school culture and engaged teaching practices in strengthening instructional leadership, especially in underserved and resource-limited educational settings. It offers relevant implications for school leaders and policymakers aiming to empower teachers and enhance student learning outcomes.
