Modern Teaching of Grammar Using Application – Syllabification

English language teaching or ELT refers to the activity and industry of teaching English to a non-native speaker. Syllabification also known as hyphenation, it separates a word into syllables whether spoken, written or signalled. Hyphens (-) are used to connect a word or divide the word. The researcher noticed that the students of standard six are struggling to syllabify words appropriately, therefore it affects the pronunciation of children as well. Innovative methods of teaching syllabification are taught to children of class six to bring the improved output on this grammar topic. Syllabification is really essential to speak good English as it helps to enhance the way of speaking and pronouncing words in proper accents, this research helps to find where the children feel difficulty in pronouncing words.
