The construction industry is one of the most labour-intensive industries in the world. Yet, dueto a continuing labor shortage (and right now, social distancing), the industry has needed toadapt to a lack of people who can do this labour. Adapting has always been one of theindustry’s strongest skills, and with technology advancements occurring every day, a newsolutionhasdeveloped:constructionrobots.Historyhasshownthatinnovativenewtechnologies are key contributors to improving productivity, quality and ensuring safety inconstruction. The purpose of this paper is to present the research information on the newemerging technology called robotics. This paper on robotics first involves that the roboticswill be utilized in the upstream industries, either in component manufacture or in constructionprocess capable of being undertaken in a traditional factory setting. This paper studies aboutthe basic construction activities, research and development, social implications, automationtechnologies,construction robots economicfeasibilityandrobots productivity.
