A Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack involves flooding a server with malicious traffic in order to make it unavailable. In the recent past, DDoS attacks have become the most tedious and inconvenient issue. The number and size of attacks has grown in recent years, from a few megabytes to hundreds of terabytes. It is difficult to detect these attacks effectively due to differences in attack patterns or new types of attacks. We devise new techniques for causing DDoS attacks and mitigation in this paper, which are shown to perform significantly better than existing techniques. We also classify DDoS attack techniques, as well as the techniques used to detect them, in order to provide a comprehensive overview of the problem
We also compare our attack module to a few other tools on the market.
