Abstract

The Deep Learning Based Animal Intrusion Detection and Repellent System with Alerting Android App is a cutting-edge solution designed to safeguard farm lands from wildlife intrusion. This innovative system leverages artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning and deep learning technology to provide effective detection and repulsion of a range of wild animals, including elephants, monkeys, deer etc. The core components of this system consist of a camera network and a image processing unit, which can be implemented using windows PC with graphics card support. The image processing unit is equipped with a trained detection model that utilizes Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) to recognize and classify various wild animal species. The system's detection model is preloaded with datasets of target animals, ensuring accurate identification. The system operates in realtime, continuously monitoring the farm land for animal intrusions. Upon detecting the presence of any of the specified animals, the system initiates a repulsion mechanism like, Elephants: Upon detection, the system plays buzzing honeybee sounds, which elephants instinctively fear due to their sensitive hearing and natural aversion to bees. Monkeys: The system triggers simulated firecracker sounds, exploiting their fear of sudden loud noises to scare them away without harm. Deer: Sprinklers are activated, spraying water to startle and gently deter them from entering the farmland. Yaks or Similar Large Herbivores: Bright flashing LED lights are used to disturb their visual sense, encouraging them to retreat. These deterrents are eco-friendly and non-lethal, chosen specifically to suit the psychology and instincts of the respective animals, ensuring maximum effectiveness without harming wildlife. An integrated Android app provides real-time alerts to farmers, notifying them of detected intrusions and activated repulsion actions. This empowers timely human intervention if necessary and maintains a digital log of activity for monitoring and analysis. The " Deep Learning Based Animal Intrusion Detection and Repellent System with Alerting Android App " offers numerous advantages, including improved farm security, reduced crop damage, and minimized human-wildlife conflicts. Additionally, it provides a sustainable solution for coexisting with wildlife, promoting harmony between agricultural activities and natural habitats. In summary, this project represents an innovative fusion of AI, machine learning, deep learning and wildlife management, providing an effective and eco-friendly means of protecting farm lands from animal intrusions. Its potential to mitigate losses and foster peaceful cohabitation between humans and wildlife makes it a valuable asset for agriculture and conservation efforts
