Abstract: The function of joint military exercises as enablers of strategic power projection has attracted a great deal of attention in the context of modern global security dynamics. The main goal of this research is to examine the importance and consequences of these exercises in light of India's strategic goals. The capacity to project power across international borders has grown in importance as geopolitical complexity continues to reshape the global scene. Joint military exercises are an essential tool for improving military cooperation, developing strategic alliances, and strengthening the ability to successfully project power. The present study endeavors to furnish a thorough analysis of India's participation in cooperative military drills. This study aims to clarify the complex aspects of India's capacity to project strategic power by utilizing theoretical frameworks from military cooperation, strategic studies, and international relations. It will examine the development, goals, and results of India's joint military drills, which are carried out both bilaterally and within multilateral frameworks. The dissertation will also examine the geopolitical ramifications, regional dynamics, and strategic imperatives related to India's involvement in joint military drills. Empirical data, case studies, and qualitative analysis will be used to evaluate the opportunities and difficulties that come with these kinds of projects. This research attempts to provide a nuanced view of how joint military exercises support India's strategic power projection efforts in the current global security environment by synthesizing these findings. In the end, this study emphasizes how important joint military drills are to India's larger strategic calculations. They significantly contribute to strengthening India's regional influence and global involvement plans in addition to determining its defense posture.
