Abstract
A naturally occurring flavonoid present in many fruits and vegetables, myricetin has garnered a lot of attention due to its possible anticancer effects. Heat-induced denaturation of bovine serum albumin was used to measure anti-inflammatory activity, and histopathological analysis was used to measure hepatoprotective effects. Furthermore, flow cytometry was used to assess myricetin's capacity to cause apoptosis. Protein denaturation was significantly inhibited by nano-liposomal myricetin in a concentration-dependent manner, with 59.1% inhibition at 100 µM, which is comparable to diclofenac sodium. Apoptotic cell populations increased dose- and time-dependently, reaching 75% at the highest concentration of 198 µM after 24 hours, according to flow cytometric analysis. These results demonstrate the potential of nano-liposomal myricetin as a natural therapeutic agent against hepatocellular carcinoma and inflammation-associated liver disorders by effectively inhibiting protein denaturation and promoting programmed cell death.
