Abstract
This study investigates the influence of 30th June increments or notional benefits within organizational settings. The research examines how annual increments, requested or processed around the fiscal year- end, impact notional benefits such as potential salary increases, pension contributions, and other financial projections. This finding reveals that while well-executed increments can significantly enhance employee satisfaction and loyalty, they can also strain organizational budgets if not carefully managed. Pension benefits serve as a crucial lifeline for retired employees, representing the culmination of year of service and dedication. The “30 June” rule, prevalent in various jurisdictions, plays a significant role in determining pension entitlements. This Research paper explores this rule, focusing on two landmark cases that have shaped its legal understanding and applications.
