Abstract
This paper introduces ResQHeart, an innovative non-contact life detection system designed to rapidly identify individuals trapped under debris or rubble during disasters like earthquakes and building collapses. ResQHeart integrates Microwave Doppler Radar, Thermal sensors, and CO2 sensors to detect vital signs such as movement, body heat, and CO2 levels with precision. Powered by a Raspberry Pi micro-computer (RPI4B), the system processes sensor data seamlessly using Python programming. ResQHeart's intuitive interface empowers rescue teams to visualize real-time data effortlessly, facilitating prompt decision-making. By addressing all aspects of disaster response, ResQHeart emerges as a comprehensive tool for locating people in emergencies, ultimately saving lives.
