Cyber extremism & Radicalization is a threat in real time, and this paper first explains its meaning, followed by its types prevalent in India. Following that, it discusses the tools utilized for radicalization, and examines strategy for opposing these notions in Indian context. The population of India has widespread access to the internet, being one of the primary reasons as to why cyber extremism and radicalization have flourished here. This research explores this troubling trend by examining the ways in which extremist organizations use the internet to spread their beliefs, find easy targets, and encourage violence and their techniques using real-world instances. It also discusses the legal framework in place to counter such activities, analyzing the effectiveness of existing laws like Section 69A of the Information Technology Act in tackling online extremism. Additionally, it offers recommendations for countering such radical viewpoints online undertaken by the Indian government, including initiatives to promote media literacy, foster interfaith dialogue, and dismantle online propaganda networks. By critically examining these aspects, the project aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the challenges posed by cyber extremism and radicalization in India.
