Corruption remains a pervasive issue in the healthcare sector globally, significantly affecting access to healthcare services, quality of care, and overall public health outcomes. This study focuses on Bangladesh, where corruption in healthcare manifests through bribery, misallocation of resources, and systemic inefficiencies. Through interviews with stakeholders including healthcare professionals, NGOs, community members, international organisations, journalists, and government representatives, this research investigates the impact of corruption on healthcare delivery and explores strategies to mitigate its effects. Key findings reveal that corruption in Bangladesh's healthcare system leads to increased costs for patients, shortages of essential medicines, and distrust in healthcare providers. Stakeholders emphasised the role of transparency, accountability, and community engagement in combating corruption. Recommendations include strengthening legal frameworks, enhancing oversight mechanisms, and promoting ethical practices among healthcare providers. This study contributes to understanding the complexities of corruption in healthcare in Bangladesh and offers insights into effective strategies aligned with global health and anti-corruption initiatives. It calls for collaborative efforts among policymakers, healthcare professionals, civil society, and international partners to address corruption and improve healthcare delivery for all Bangladeshis.
