Abstract
Cyber crime is largely impacting the Indian youth and young adults. The main reason behind this impact is the number of users of the internet across the country is the youth, as compared to any other age group people. In this paper, we will be discussing the effects of cyber crime and studying the challenges for the present generation. This paper will focus on the consequences of Cyber crime, including cyber bullying, phishing, online money fraud, online kidnapping, stalking, voyeurism, etc., and how young adults can be prevented from being trapped in these types of crimes. In today's digital landscape, young adults are increasingly vulnerable to a range of cyber crimes, including phishing, identity theft, cyber bullying, and online harassment. These threats not only lead to financial losses and reputational harm but also have profound psychological consequences, such as anxiety and depression. Educational efforts focusing on digital literacy and cyber-security awareness are crucial in empowering young adults to recognize and mitigate these risks. Alongside education, there is a pressing need for robust legal frameworks that can adapt to rapidly evolving cyber threats while safeguarding the rights and privacy of young individuals. By addressing these challenges comprehensively—through education, psychological support, and effective legal measures—societies can better protect young adults from cyber crimes and foster a safer online environment for future generations. The author of this paper also attempts to write his suggestions and tries to find some statistical data.
