One of the most crucial or critical factors influencing patient compliance is taste. Due to their reluctance to take such formulations, especially in pediatrics and elderly, patients with bitter or unpleasant medicines taste frequently experience difficulties during their treatment. Healthcare professionals should consider the oral administration of bitter medications that have a manageable level of palatability particularly when treating pediatric patient. Unpleasant, bitter flavour components are present in a number of food and beverage item, bulking agent and oral medications. Therefore on of the most crucial aspect of formulation is hiding the bitter taste qualities. The review article follows and discusses different types of Taste Masking Techniques.
