Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR), Power Quality Conditioner (UPQC), PI Controller, Fuzzy Controller and MATLAB

Here, we have examined two distinct controller strategies to study the approaches of improving voltage quality: the Unified Power Quality Conditioner (UPQC) and the Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR). Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) and Proportional Integral Controller (PIC) are the controllers that are utilized. The difference between a measured variable and the intended set point is how a PI Controller determines an error value. The fuzzy logic controller has one output called the actuating signal for each phase and two real-time inputs called error and error rate that are measured at each sample period. The input signals undergo fuzzification and are expressed as functions in fuzzy set notations. 'If... Then...' rules that are defined yield output actuating signals, which are then defuzzed to analog control signals that can be compared with a carrier signal to regulate a PWM inverter.
