Abstract
The desire for prolonged and controlled drug delivery has led to research into improving product effectiveness, reliability, and safety. The in-situ polymeric system is gaining attention for its potential for controlled release. It has been used to administer drugs both locally and systemically. It has gained popularity due to its strong vascularization, permeability, rapid start of action, low enzymatic degradation, and avoidance of hepatic first pass metabolism. This article aims to provide insight into various nasal absorption mechanisms and drug delivery methods and challenges.
