The socioeconomic status of the Santhal tribe in Pakur district, Jharkhand, India, is examined in this paper. One of the biggest tribal populations in the area, the Santhals, struggle greatly with literacy, stability of the economy, and access to basic amenities. Understanding the socioeconomic profile of the Santhal community is the goal of the study, which looks at things like health, education, and economic activity. The study uses both qualitative and quantitative approaches to show that although there have been improvements in some areas, the community still faces challenges with low literacy rates, little economic prospects, and poor access to healthcare and sanitation. The results emphasise the need of focused initiatives to improve the general health and financial situation of the Santhal tribe, such as greater application of the Right to Education Act, support of self-help groups, and skill development initiatives.
