प्रस्तुत शोध में उच्च, सामान्य और निम्न सामाजिक-आर्थिक स्थिति वाले पुरुष और महिला किशोरों के आध्यात्मिक मूल्यों का तुलनात्मक अध्ययन किया गया है। प्रस्तुत शोध का उदेश्य उच्च, सामान्य और निम्न सामाजिक-आर्थिक स्थिति वाले पुरुष और महिला किशोरों के आध्यात्मिक मूल्यों का तुलनात्मक अध्ययन करना है। शोध के निर्धारित उद्देश्य की पूर्ति हेतु आंकड़े एकत्रित करने के लिए मेरठ शहर के माध्यमिक विद्यालयों में अध्ययनरत कक्षा बारह के किशोर विद्यार्थियों को इस अध्ययन की जनसँख्या के रूप में सम्मिलित किया गया है एवं प्रतिदर्श के रूप में यादृच्छिक विधि से मेरठ शहर के 10 विद्यालयों का चयन किया गया। प्रत्येक विद्यालय से 10-10 पुरुष और महिला किशोर विद्यार्थियों का चयन किया गया। इस प्रकार 200 किशोर विधार्थियों को न्यायदर्श के रूप में चयन किया गया है । आंकड़ो के विश्लेषण के लिए उच्च, सामान्य और निम्न सामाजिक-आर्थिक स्थिति वाले पुरुष और महिला किशोरों के आध्यात्मिक मूल्यों का तुलनात्मक अध्ययन मापने के लिए सामाजिक-आर्थिक स्थिति के पैमाने को मापने के लिए राजीव भारद्वाज द्वारा तैयार किए गए सामाजिक-आर्थिक पैमाने का उपयोग किया गया एवं आध्यात्मिक मूल्य पैमाने को मापने के लिए फौजिया नज़म, अकबर हुसैन और एस. एम. खान द्वारा तैयार आध्यात्मिक मूल्य पैमाने का उपयोग किया गया। तथा काई स्क्वायर एवं टी परिक्षण की गणना की गयी।आंकड़ों से प्राप्त परिणामों के आधार पर ये ज्ञात हुआ कि उच्च, सामान्य और निम्न सामाजिक-आर्थिक स्थिति वाले पुरुष किशोरों के आध्यात्मिक मूल्यों में सार्थक अंतर है। एवं उच्च, सामान्य और निम्न सामाजिक-आर्थिक स्थिति वाली महिला किशोरों के आध्यात्मिक मूल्यों में कोई सार्थक अंतर नहीं है।
