Abstract
This study investigates land use changes in Bangalore, India, from 2013 to 2028 using Landsat imagery and Support Vector Machine(SVM) classification. Significant shifts are observed in both rural and urban areas. Rural regions experience a drastic reduction in forest cover, while urban areas witness a decline in water bodies and a rise in built-up areas. These findings highlight the pressing need for sustainable land management practices to address environmental degradation and urbanization's rapid pace. Graphical representations visually underscore these changes, emphasizing the urgency of conservation efforts and policy interventions for a balanced and resilient future. This research underscores the importance of deep learning techniques in understanding land use dynamics and informing evidence-based decision-making for environmental management and sustainable development
