India is a country where Goddess, deity, idol of power, patience and wisdom exuberates to depict its synchronicity with the word WOMAN. This great respect and undue importance symbolizes the purity and divinity of a woman, praise that she is worthy of, indeed, but this article endeavors to break this stereotype and regards this as a condolence to a woman’s deprivation. We do not intend to debate over the equality of men and women in the society on the contrary we confirm to the understanding that a woman should wake up to the realization that she is obligated towards the nation, country, state, family, society and mankind and rise to the occasion and patronize her obligation. The article is built on the premise that a woman should labor not just when it is necessitated but because it is her obligation to do so. The research study has been conducted by drawing representatives from the fraternity of both working women and homemakers restricted to city of Chennai. The primary data has been retrieved from the respondents by the interview method and questionnaires to conduct an empirical study. Research has been conducted with the objective of devising strategies and techniques to impart these skills through innovative learning methods, and creation of varied opportunities. Revolutionary thoughts and minute cultural changes are enough to empower a woman and patronize her unrealised obligation
