Abstract

This project focuses on addressing traffic congestion in densely populated countries like India and China by using a microcontroller (Arduino Uno) to control traffic lights and implementing an automated control system for emergency vehicles. The system uses pre- programmed MATLAB software to detect signals (sirens) from emergency vehicles and adjust traffic lights to prioritize their passage. This approach aims to improve the efficiency of traffic management and emergency response in congested urban areas.
