Abstract
The land use/land cover analysis is an important parameter for developing and managing the strategy of the uddanam area in the Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh. The LU/LC analysis was extracted from the LISS-III satellite data processing in ERDAS software. The analysis reveals that the study area contains components such as the water bodies, built-up land, forest land; fallow land, wetland, agricultural land, barren land, mangroves and forest evergreen. The majority of the study area is occupied by agricultural land and less amount is occupied by uncultivated land.
