In recent years, plasmonics has emerged as a revolutionary field of study with immense potential for various applications. This article explores the fascinating world of plasmonics and delves into its wide-ranging applications. Plasmonics is the study of the interaction between light and free electrons in metallic nanostructures, giving rise to surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs). These SPPs have unique properties that allow for the manipulation and control of light at the nanoscale. By harnessing these properties, plasmonics holds promise in fields such as sensing and biomedical applications.
