Abstract
Natiyak sa pag-aaral na ito na malaman ang pinagbatayang kuwento ng mga barangay sa Juban, Sorsogon. Ginamitan ng deskriptib na disenyo sa pag-aaral na ito upang malaman ang iba’t ibang pinagmulang kuwento ng mga barangay sa Juban, Sorsogon. Random sampling ang ginamit sa pagtukoy ng 125 na impormante mula sa 25 na barangay. Ginamit ng mananaliksik ang interbyu-iskedyul sa pangangalap ng datos. Nagsagawa rin ng interbyu at FGD ang mananaliksik sa matatandang tao na may alam sa pinagmulan ng pangalan ng bawat barangay. Ang mga nalikom na datos ay sinuri at binigyang interpretasyon sa pamamagitan ng nararapat na estadistika. Natuklasan na ang bawat barangay sa bayan ng Juban, Sorsogon ay mayroong mga kahanga-hangang kuwentong pinagmulan. Iba’t ibang paksa ang kuwentong pinagmulan ng mga pangalan ng bawat barangay sa Juban, Sorsogon. Mayroon naiambag ang mga kuwento ng bawat barangay ng Juban sa Panitikang Jubangnon. Inirerekomena na hikayatin ang mga mag-aaral at mga mamamayan sa komunidad na basahin at tangkilikin ang sariling panitikan upang mapalawak ang kanilang kaalaman at kamalayan sa sariling pinagmulan. Upang higit na makilala at mapahalagahan ang lugar, kultura, kasaysayan at yamang mayroon, nararapat na makipagtulungan at makipagkaisa ang lahat sa pagpapaunlad at pagpapalaganap ng mga kuwentong pinagmulan ng kanilang sariling lugar. Ang mga mga nakalap na kuwentong pinagmulan ng bawat barangay sa bayan ng Juban, Sorsogon ay maaaring magamit bilang lunsaran sa pagtuturo ng mga guro upang higit na kawili-wili at madaling maunawaan ng mga mag-aaral ang aralin. Maaari din itong gawing babasahing lokal na isang epektibong paraan sa pagmulat at pagpapalawak ng kamalayan ng mga mamamayan ng Juban sa kanilang kultura at kahanga-hangang panitikan. Magsagawa ng iba pang pag-aaral na may kaugnayan sa kasalukuyang pananaliksik upang maging sandigan at gabay ng susunod na mga mananaliksik upang magbibigay-daan sa paghanap, pagkilala at paglathala sa mga natatagong panitikan.
