Abstract
Dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) is a multifaceted cardiac disorder characterized by ventricular dilation and systolic dysfunction. This review paper explores a spectrum of strategies aimed at preventing the development of DCM. The comprehensive analysis encompasses genetic predispositions, environmental risk factors, lifestyle modifications, and emerging therapeutic approaches. The review begins by delving into the genetic landscape of DCM, highlighting the importance of understanding hereditary factors that contribute to its pathogenesis. Environmental risk factors, such as exposure to toxins and infectious agents, are examined to elucidate their role in DCM development. Lifestyle modifications, including diet, exercise, and stress management, are explored as potential interventions to mitigate DCM risk. Furthermore, the review discusses evidence-based insights and evolving trends in preventive cardiology, emphasizing the significance of early detection and intervention. Novel therapeutic approaches, including pharmacological and genetic interventions, are considered in the context of DCM prevention.
