Abstract
A Geographic Information System (GIS) is a system that comprises a particular kind of database holding location-based, geographic data along with software tools for organizing, interpreting, and presenting the data in a variety of helpful ways. GIS software that lets users deal with 2D data, manage and maintain data, perform analysis, and visualize data. It uses the Google Maps JavaScript API to establish a direct connection with Google Maps Online. Two usage categories of GIS users can be distinguished: End-User and Administrator User. Over one billion people now rely on Google Maps to get them from point A to point B and a whole lot more since their introduction 15 years ago. It's difficult to recall a period when we could just type in an address on our iPhones and leave. Google Maps has changed and grown since its launch in 2005 to meet the demands of our ever evolving and fast-paced world.
