Abstract

A new area of study has emerged as a result of the requirement to manage the power grid in real time. In order to build an advanced metering infrastructure, researchers are currently working to design electrical meters that can be operated entirely remotely. Calibration of measuring instruments is one of the most significant procedures in the measurement profession. The electrical meters' calibration procedure was carried out in labs. But the new guidelines now demand an accuracy test to be conducted on a regular basis. However, it can be inconvenient to constantly move about the site in order to verify a meter's accuracy. Our solution to this issue is to suggest a new smart meter design that incorporates a calibration card, enabling remote completion of the procedure. Being capable of calibrating
