Abstract
Pain is defined by international association for the study of pain (IASP) as an unpleasantsensory and emotional experience associated with actual or potential tissue damage,or describedin terms of such damage. Pain mechanisms serve as a natural protective function of organismsagainst noxious stimuli by changing the physiology and behaviour to reduce or avoid furtherdamage,andpromoterecovery.Analgesicactivitywasevaluatedbyhotplatemethodand cold platemethodandparametersanalysed werepawlickingandjumping.In hot plate and cold plate methodthe highest significant activity was showed at 4h,6h and 8h time intervals as compared tocontrol. Conclusion:TheethanolicextractofleavesofNeriumoleanderLinn.was showedsignificantdiureticandanalgesic activity.
