It asks business leaders to consider their decisions' environmental and social impacts in order to reduce harm where possible. The Tata group's activities relate to education, livelihoods and skill development, rural development, water and sanitation, healthcare and strengthening services. In a free enterprise, the community is not just another stakeholder in business, but is in fact the very purpose of its existence.
