| Abstract: | The study was designed to assist Basic 7 pupils of Pusiga Girls’ Model JHS to improve upon their poor mastery of vocabulary. The objectives of the study were to find out the causes of poor vocabulary among students and to ascertain whether Word Games can help in the improvement of poor mastery of vocabulary. The researcher also sourced information on the causes of the problem from existing literature written by previous researchers. The researcher used different data collection instruments like observation, test, and interview to gather information on the problem. The researcher intervened with a vocabulary game known as the Ball Game. Finally, the researcher summarized the whole work and concluded it. She also made recommendations to help teachers, policymakers, and Ghana Education Service to curtail the problem. |
