Abstract
This research aims to determine what factors influence gum disease in pregnant women and strategies to enhance periodontal health in pregnant women. This study employs a qualitative methodology. A review of prior studies that were pertinent to this research issue was part of the literature study that was used to gather research data. The result showed that addressing gum disease in pregnant women requires a multifaceted approach that encompasses preventive care, patient education, interdisciplinary collaboration, cultural sensitivity, and accessibility considerations. By implementing these strategies, healthcare providers can support the oral health and overall well-being of expectant mothers and their infants, ultimately contributing to healthier pregnancies and improved oral health outcomes for all women.
