| Abstract: | In recent years, the convergence of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) with modern agricultural technologies has emerged as a powerful force in reshaping rural landscapes. This study explores the profound impact of MGNREGA in catalyzing technological advancements within the agricultural sector, fostering sustainable development and enhancing the livelihoods of rural communities. MGNREGA, has evolved into a catalyst for rural transformation by promoting the adoption of cutting-edge technologies in agriculture. This paper examines how MGNREGA has played a pivotal role in promoting mechanization, precision farming, and digital agriculture practices. By providing rural laborers with employment opportunities and a skilled workforce that is instrumental in driving the integration of technology in agriculture. The paper further delves into specific technological interventions facilitated by MGNREGA, such as the deployment of sensor-based irrigation systems, drone-assisted crop monitoring, and the use of data analytics for informed decision-making. Moreover, the study explores the role of MGNREGA in bridging the digital divide in rural areas, facilitating access to information and market linkages for farmers. The findings of this research highlight the potential of MGNREGA as a powerful enabler for the modernization of agriculture, showcasing a paradigm shift from manual labor-intensive methods to technology-driven, knowledge-based farming.
