Abstract
Alzheimer's Disease(AD) is a progressive and neurodegenerative disorder that has come a significant global health concern. Originally described by Alois Alzheimer in the early 20th century, AD is the leading cause of dementia, affecting a substantial portion of the growing population. This article provides an in- depth exploration of the devastating effects of AD on individuals, families, and society. The chronic nature of the disease, its prolonged development period, and the challenges faced by family and caregivers are highlighted. Current individual approaches, emerging diagnostics, and promising treatment options are discussed, offering a comprehensive overview of the current state of AD research and management. By understanding the profound impact of AD and exploring the latest advancements in diagnostics and treatment, we aim to contribute to the ongoing dialogue on addressing this complex and pervasive health issue.
