Abstract
The study of musical instruments from a physics perspective offers a fascinating insight into the fundamental principles underlying their operation and the production of sound. This paper delves into the physics behind the functioning of musical instruments, with a particular focus on percussion instruments like the Tabla. By examining the nature of sound waves and their interaction within these instruments, research explore how they generate distinct tones, pitches, scales, and timbres. Research investigates the diverse components of the Tabla, including the drumhead (pudi), the cylindrical body (dayan), and the resonating chamber (siyahi). Through this analysis, research elucidate the roles of different parts in sound generation, propagation, and amplification.
