| Abstract: | Abstract: Revolution 2020 stands for the revolutionary spirit of Chetan. The novel is a thought provoking that sheds light on the realities of education system of India. After reading, the reader finds out that how a middle-class family struggle to get education and to get success in their life. The story is engaging, and all the characters are well-developed. It exposes the relevant social issues of Indian society. The city and the name of the characters look sometime holy that is used by the novelist Chetan Bhagat in the novel. The city Varanasi is a city of temple which is situated near the river, Ganga. Everyone prays Gods. The country of India is a religious country. Aarti is a beautiful and charming girl and her name reminds to the readers that in Hindu religion, one chants aarti before ones Gods. The novelist uses her name as a holy name. Gopal is another character that is Lord Krishan’s name. lord Krishna always longs for His love, Radha but He had not got married to Radha such as Gopal who loves Aarti but he did not get the marriage to her. He sacrificed his love for revolution and his childhood close friend Raghav. The present research paper highlights on the major issues such as political issues, social realism, middle-class issues and aspirations and frustrations. |
